Gardaí attached to Kevin Street Garda Station are investigating all the circumstances in relation to a number of incidents of criminal damage by fire to vehicles that took place in the Dublin 8 area during the early hours of Thursday, 11th December 2025.
At approximately 4:45am yesterday morning, Gardaí responded to reports of three cars on fire outside residences on the South Circular Road.
While attending the scene, members were notified of another car on fire on St Anne's Road, approximately 100 metres away, and requested the services of Dublin Fire Brigade to assist.
Damage was caused to an additional fifth car parked adjacent to this vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
Investigating members have today arrested a man (aged in his 30s) in connection with this incident. The man is currently detained at a Garda Station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR).
