Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene following report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision involving a truck and a bicycle, at Con Colbert Road, Kilmainham, Dublin 8 this morning, Wednesday 27th August 2025. The collision occurred shortly after 11am.
The male cyclist (aged in his 40’s) was conveyed to St James’s Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
No other injuries were reported at the time.
The road was closed, and has since reopened.
Investigations are ongoing.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area of Con Colbert Road, Kilmainham, Dublin 8, between 10.15am and 11.15am on Wednesday 27th August 2025, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
