As part of continuing investigations conducted by Coolock Drug Unit into the sale and supply of drugs in the Dublin Metropolitan Region (North), Gardaí have arrested a fourth man, and seized an additional €140,000 of suspected cannabis herb, yesterday, Wednesday 13th August 2025.
During the course of a search operation in the Belmayne area, Gardaí seized 7 kg of herbal cannabis with an approximate value of €140,000, along with drugs paraphernalia, a weighing scales and a vacuum pack machine.
This brings the total drugs seized on Wednesday 13th August 2025, as part of this operation, to over €308,000.
A man (aged in his 40’s) was arrested in connection with the investigation, and detained pursuant to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, at a Garda Station in the North Dublin area. He has since been charged, and is due to appear before the courts at a later date.
The seized drugs are subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).
