Joint Operation – Gardaí and Revenue Seize €120,000 worth of Cannabis, Two Arrests in Co. Wexford 13th August 2025

As part of an intelligence-led joint operation in County Wexford on 13th August 2025, Revenue’s Customs Service, Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), and the Enniscorthy Drugs and Crime Units seized approximately 6 kilograms of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €120,000.

The drugs were recovered in the course of a search of residential property.

In a follow-up search, Gardaí recovered a further 1.5 kilograms of herbal cannabis valued at €30,000, along with approximately 250 grams of suspected cocaine (subject to forensic analysis), with an estimated value of €17,500.

Two males, aged in their 20s and 30s, were arrested by An Garda Síochána and are currently detained at a Garda station in the Southeastern Region under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Investigations are ongoing.
