As part of Operation Tara, Gardaí have seized approximately 1.9 million of controlled drugs in New Ross Co. Wexford, yesterday, Friday 22nd August 2025.
The search of a premises was carried by members attached to Wexford Crime Unit.
During the course of this search 89kg of cannabis with an estimated value of €1.76 million and 2kg of cocaine with an estimated value of €140,000 was located.
The drugs seized will be sent for further analysis.
A man aged in his 40s was arrested in relation to this seizure. He is currently detained under pursuant Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda Station in Co. Wexford.
Investigations are ongoing.
