Serious Traffic Collision in Kilcock, Co. Meath on February 25th, 2024

Gardaí and emergency services responded to a serious collision involving a car and a cyclist on the R125 at Phepotstown, Kilcock, Co. Meath, shortly after 12 noon on Sunday, February 25th, 2024.

The cyclist, a male in his 60s, was transported from the scene by ambulance to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, with serious injuries. The occupants of the car did not require immediate medical attention.

The scene has been preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and local traffic diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward. Additionally, road users who may have been traveling on the R125 between Dunbyone and Kilcock at the time, and possess camera footage (including dash-cam), are requested to provide this footage to investigating Gardaí.
