Gardaí conducted a multi-agency operation within the Coolock District on Thursday, 25th April 2024. The operation involved personnel from Coolock District with support from the DMR North Divisional Unit and a number of national Garda units.
A number of searches were conducted with the aim of disrupting the sale and supply of drugs in the Coolock area.
An estimated €180,000 worth of combined drugs was located. €130,000 of suspected cannabis, €25,000 cocaine and worth €25,000 heroin. Cash and designer clothing was also seized.
A number of checkpoints were put in place during the day which resulted in the seizure of 13 vehicles. A number of road traffic offences were detected and 3 horses were seized by Gardaí on welfare grounds.
A total of 6 arrests were made. Two males appeared before the Courts in respect of outstanding warrants, while the remaining 4 men were released without charge. A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
