Gardaí are appealing for witness following a fatal single-vehicle road traffic collision involving a pedestrian, which occurred on the R680 at Butlerstown, Co. Waterford, on Tuesday, 31st January 2023.
The collision, involving a male pedestrian and a car, occurred at approximately 7pm.
At the time, the pedestrian, aged in his 50s, was taken to University Hospital Waterford for treatment. He has since passed away as a result of his injuries.
A post-mortem will take place in due course.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward and any road users with video footage (including dash-cam) is asked to make this available to them. In particular, any road users who were in the area between 6:45pm – 7:15pm.
