Renewed Witness Appeal – Assault Investigation Ballyfermot Dublin 10 - 30th December 2021

Gardaí are renewing their appeal for witnesses after an assault on a teenaged girl and boy in Ballyfermot, Dublin 10 on Thursday 30th December, 2021.

At approximately 9.35pm a girl and boy aged in their late teens sustained serious injuries in the course of an incident in Ballyfermot. It’s understood they were approached and assaulted by a group of youths as they walked along Ballyfermot Road opposite the Community Civic Centre.

They were taken by ambulance to St James Hospital for treatment for their injuries.

Both have since been released and will continue to receive treatment as outpatients.

Investigating Gardaí continue to appeal for witnesses. They are particularly appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of Ballyfermot Road between approximately 9:15pm and 10pm to come forward. They are also appealing to those with camera footage, including motorists with dash cam recordings, from Ballyfermot Road at the time to make it available to them.

An incident room has been established at Ballyfermot Garda Station and significant progress has been made in the investigation to date.
