One Man Arrested and €114,000 Cannabis Herb Seized, Navan, Co.Meath - 8th October 2021

Gardaí in Meath have seized cannabis herb with an estimated value of €114,000 and arrested a man following a search on Friday morning, 8th October 2021.    As part of Operation Tara, Gardaí attached to the Meath Divisional Drugs Unit executed a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act, 1977 at a residence in Navan, Co.Meath. 

During the course of the search, cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €114,000 (subject to analysis) was seized by Gardaí, along with drug paraphernalia.

This morning, Friday, 15th October 2021, a man, aged in his 50s, was arrested by Gardaí in connection with this seizure.

He is currently detained at Trim Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking Act) 1996.

The drugs seized will now be sent for further analysis. Investigations ongoing.
