Update: Man Arrested - Witness appeal after a young woman was struck by a firework Eyre Square Galway October 22 2021

Gardaí have today arrested a man in his 20s as part of the investigation into an incident in Eyre Square, Galway on the 22nd October 2021, when a female was struck with a firework.

He is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a South Dublin Garda station.
