On Thursday, 18th November, 2021, as part of ongoing investigations targeting persons suspected to be involved in organised crime operating in the Enniscorthy area, a joint intelligence led operation was conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, the Wexford Divisional Drug Unit and the Revenue Customs Service.
The operation resulted in the search of a premises in the Enniscorthy area. During the course of this search, suspected chloromethcathinone and herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €118,450 (pending analysis) was seized by Customs Officers.
Gardaí arrested a 46 year old man and a 47 year old woman in connection with this operation.
They are currently being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at Enniscorthy Garda Station.
Investigations are ongoing.
