Update: Search and Arrest Operation, Cavan 18th May, 2021.

Gardaí attached to Special Detective Unit who arrested the three persons during a search operation targeting dissident republican activity on Tuesday morning, 18th May, 2021 in Co. Cavan have released one man.

The man was released without charge this afternoon and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The other man and woman remain in Garda custody detained under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at Garda stations in Cavan.

Investigations ongoing.
