Gardaí in Sligo have seized €35,000 in suspected cocaine and cannabis herb along with a sum of cash having stopped and searched a car in Sligo on Thursday morning.
Shortly after 1am on Thursday March 4, 2021 Gardaí on routine traffic patrol in Sligo stopped a car for minor traffic offences and carried out a search of the vehicle.
During the course of the search suspected cannabis herb with a value of €20,000 and cocaine with a value of €15,000 was located in the car and seized.
A flick knife, knuckle duster and small quantity of cash were also seized.
Two men one in his late 20s and another in his early 30s were arrested at the scene and are currently detained at Ballymote Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
