Further Arrest - Operation SKEIN 25th February, 2021.

Gardaí attached to the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau have arrested a woman (early 40s) today Thursday 25th February, 2021 after a search was conducted in Monaghan.

She was arrested in relation to the ongoing investigation under Operation SKEIN and she is currently detained at Monaghan Garda station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007.

This arrest marks the 11th arrest as part of this operation. Investigations are ongoing. Operation SKEIN is an investigation into international BEC/Invoice re-direct fraud being committed form Ireland and the laundering of the proceeds through accounts here.
