Operation Tara - €40,000 Cannabis Herb Seized and One Arrest - Balbriggan, Co.Dublin 12th August 2021

Gardaí have seized approximately €40,000 of suspected cannabis herb and arrested a man during an operation conducted as part of Operation Tara yesterday, 12th August, 2021, in Balbriggan, Co.Dublin.

The seizure was made following a search at a residence that was carried out at approximately 4pm pursuant to a warrant issued under the Misuse of Drugs Act. 

A man, aged in his late 40s, was arrested by Gardaí at the scene.

The man is currently being detained at Balbriggan Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Investigations are ongoing.
