Gardaí have arrested and charged a man in relation to a robbery in Cork city on September 14, 2020.

Shortly before 4pm a man in a wheelchair was on Gravel Lane when he was pushed to the ground and had his wallet stolen.

On September 17, with the assistance of the Armed Support Unit, Detectives executed a search warrant at a house in Cork and arrested a man.

The man, aged in his 40s, was brought to Bridewell Garda Station and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

He has since been charged and is due to appear before Cork City District Court this morning at 10.30am.
