Update - Death of a Man in Unexplained Circumstances, Bluebell Avenue, Dublin 12, Monday 18th May 2020

Yesterday morning, Monday 18th May 2020, Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene of a house fire at 486B Bluebell Avenue, Dublin 12.

Fire Brigade personnel discovered the body of a male in his 40s in the house and the Gardaí at Clondalkin Garda Station attended the scene.

Today, Tuesday 19th May 2020, a post mortem examination was held at the City Morgue, Whitehall by Dr. Hansu. The preliminary results of the post mortem are not being released at this time for operational reasons.

Gardaí at Clondalkin are continuing a criminal investigation into all the circumstances of the unexplained death of this male. The Garda Technical Bureau remain at the scene this evening and the scene remains preserved.

Gardaí are appealing to anybody who was in the vicinity of Bluebell Avenue, Old Naas Road, Dublin 12 on either the evening of Sunday 17th May into the morning of Monday 18th May to contact An Garda Síochána at Clondalkin Garda Station.

Gardaí are also appealing to any road users who may have driven in the same area who may have dashcam or video footage to contact Clondalkin Garda Station.
