€200,000 Cannabis Seized and Arrest Raheny Dublin 5 1st May 2020

On 01/05/2020 at approximately 6:15pm, as a result of ongoing investigations targeting serious organised crime activity in the Dublin Region, officers from the Special Crime Task Force of the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau supported by officers from the Dublin Region, stopped a vehicle on the Tonlagee Road, Raheny, Dublin 5.

A substantial quantity of cannabis herb (pending analysis) with an estimated street value of €200,000 was recovered and one male, aged in his 40s, was arrested detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Swords Garda Station.

The man has since been charged and will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice, Court 4, at 10.30am this morning 02/05/2020.
