Aggravated Burglary Lynch's Quay, Cobh, Co Cork 8th March 2020

Gardaí are investigating an aggravated burglary in Cobh, Co. Cork.

Shortly before 2am on the 8th March 2020, Gardaí were alerted to an incident at an Apartment on Lynch’s Quay, Cobh Co Cork.

A man in his 40s was allegedly assaulted by another male and received multiple stab wounds following an altercation.

The injured male was taken to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries.

A male in his 20s was arrested a short time later and is currently detained at Cobh Garda station. He is due to appear in Cork City Court today Monday 9th March 2020. 

Investigations are ongoing.
