Aggravated Burglary, Mayfield, Co. Cork 1st June 2020

Gardaí have arrested two men, aged in their 20s, in relation to an aggravated burglary at a house in Mayfield, Co. Cork which occurred on Monday, 1st June 2020.

Shortly before 8pm, the two men entered the property armed with weapons. The men proceeded to threaten a resident of the house, a woman aged in her 60s. No injuries were reported.

Gardaí arrested both men a short time later and they were taken to Mayfield Garda Station where they are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Investigation ongoing.
