Two Men Arrested, Approximately €43,000 of Suspected Cocaine and Diamorphine Seized, Clondalkin, Sunday, 5th July 2020

Two men have been arrested in connection with the seizure of suspected cocaine and diamorphine with a combined estimated value of €43,120 following the search of a residence in Dublin 22 on Sunday, 5th July 2020.

At approximately 5:55pm, Gardaí assisted by members from the District Drugs Units at Lucan and Ronanstown, carried out a search of a residence at St. Marks Gardens, Clondalkin, Dublin 22.

During the course of the search, approximately €23,100 of suspected diamorphine and approximately €20,020 of suspected cocaine (both pending analysis) were seized. Suspected drug paraphernalia including scales, presses, mixing agents and plastic wraps were also seized.

Two men in their 20s were subsequently arrested in connection with this seizure and detained at Ronanstown Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

One of the men has since been charged and will appear before Blanchardstown District Court this morning at 10:30am. The other man was released without charge pending a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
