Third Arrest - Serious Assault, Ballyphehane, Togher, Co. Cork.

Gardaí in Togher investigating the serious assault of a man (20s) that occurred in Pearse Square, Ballyphehane, Co. Cork on 7th April, 2020 arrested a third man this afternoon, Sunday 12th April, 2020.

The man (late 40s) was arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Togher Garda Station. He was questioned in relation to the incident and has since been released without charge this evening, Sunday 12th April, 2020 and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. 

This is the third arrest in relation to this investigation and investigations are ongoing.
