Man Charged - Ten Incidents of Burglary, Attempted Burglary, Criminal Damage and Theft in Co. Limerick

Gardaí have arrested and charged a man in relation to ten incidents of burglary, attempted burglary, criminal damage and theft in Co. Limerick over the last two months. 

Shortly after 2am, Gardaí received a report of a possible break-in at a bar on John Street, Limerick on April 6, 2020. Detective and uniform Gardaí from Roxboro Road carried out a patrol of the area and located a man, aged in his 30s, who was found in possession of alcohol that was believed to have been stolen from the bar. 

He was arrested, brought to Henry Street Garda Station and was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. The man was also questioned in relation to a number of other offences that occurred in Co. Limerick over the last two months such as: 

Four burglaries and two attempted burglaries at business premises, three criminal damage and one theft from car. 

He has since been charged in relation to these ten incidents and is due to appear before Limerick District Court this morning, April 7, 2020 at 10.30am.
