Man Arrested Following Robbery of Supermarket, Old Bawn, Thursday 2nd April 2020

On Thursday 2nd April 2020 at approximately 8.30pm, Gardaí responded to reports of a robbery at the Old Bawn Shopping Centre, Old Bawn, Dublin 24.

It's reported a male armed with what's believed to be a knife entered a supermarket and threatened staff before taking a sum of cash and fleeing the scene. 

During a follow-up operation on the Kiltipper Road, a man in his late 30s was arrested and is currently being detained at Rathfarnham Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

All of the cash taken during the robbery was recovered by Gardaí.

Investigations are ongoing.
