Grow House Discovered and €400,000 of Cannabis Herb Seized, Claremorris, Monday 27th April 2020

This afternoon Monday 27th April 2020, Gardaí from the Claremorris Community Engagement Unit assisted by members of the Mayo Divisional Drugs Unit conducted a search at a disused premises at Ballinastanford, Claremorris, County Mayo.

During the course of the search, it was discovered that this disused premises had been converted into a cannabis grow house with insulation lighting and heat fitted out to facilitate large scale production.

Over 500 cannabis plants with an estimated value of approximately €400,000 were seized (subject to analysis).

No arrests have been made. Investigations are ongoing.
