Discovery of Partial Skeletal Remains Rathmines, Thursday 9th April 2020

Gardaí in Rathmines are investigating the discovery of what are described as partial human skeletal remains on a site off Lower Rathmines Road.

The discovery was made during works on common ground at Lissenfield and reported to Gardaí on Thursday evening 9th April 2020.

A forensic anthropologist has conducted examinations of the site along with members of the Garda Technical Bureau.

The remains have been removed to Dublin City Mortuary and a post mortem will be conducted at a later date. This will determine the course of the investigation.
