Court Appearance - burglary of business premises in Drogheda, Louth on 5 April 2020

Gardaí have arrested and charged a man in relation to a burglary at a business premises on Peter’s Hill, Downtown Drogheda, Co Louth, which occurred on Sunday 5 April 2020 at approximately 5.30am.

On 5 April Gardaí in Drogheda responded to a report of a broken window at a business and discovered the property had been burgled.

Approximately €6,000 worth of property was stolen.

An investigation was launched and some of the stolen property has been recovered.

A man in his 50s was arrested and brought to Drogheda Garda Station where he was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

He has since been charged and is due to appear before a sitting of the district court at the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin this morning, 6 April at 10.30am
