Further Update - Fatal Road Traffic Collision Quinspool, Parteen, Co Clare.

Gardaí investigating the road traffic collision in Quinspool, Parteen Co. Clare that occurred on the 26th September 2019, have released the names of the two male fatalites.

Patrick Hogan of Thomandgate, Limerick, aged 30 years and Jonathon Healy of Kileely, Limerick, aged 24 years were fatally injured in the collision.

Details of the post mortem results are not being released at this time for operational reasons.

Post mortem examinations on the two persons fatally injured in a road traffic collision in Quinspool, Parteen, Co Clare were completed this afternoon, Friday 27th September 2019, the formal identification process is currently underway.

A 12 year old boy seriously injured in the collision is being treated at St. James Hospital in Dublin, a 20 year old man also injured in the collision is being treated at University Hospital Limerick.

Gardaí are currently at the scene of a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 12am today Thursday 26th September 2019 in Quinspool, Parteen, County Clare. It's understood at this time one vehicle was involved.

Two persons were pronounced dead and remain at the scene.

Two males in their early 20s were taken to University Hospital Limerick with serious injuries. Forensic Collision Investigators are expected at the scene this morning. The road remains closed. Local diversions are in place.   

An incident room at Mayorstone Park Garda Station has been set up. Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward, particularly any motorists who were travelling in the area between 12am and 1am who may have Dashcam footage.
