Fatal road traffic collision on the Old Navan Road, Mulhuddart, Dublin on the 4/9/19.

Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the Old Navan Road at the entrance to The Saddlers Estate, Mulhuddart yesterday evening, Wednesday 4th September 2019 at approximately 7.30p.m.

The collision involved a male motorcyclist (45 years), and a car (male driver, 50 years) and the motorcyclist was seriously injured and taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, where he later passed away.  A post mortem will take place in due course.

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators were at scene and conducted an examination of the scene. The road has reopened.

Gardaí are appealing to any persons who were in the area at the time of the collision and may have witnessed it to contact them.  They are particularly interested to speak with a pedal cyclist who was also at the scene and may have witnessed the collision.
