Man arrested and charged - 10 incidents of burglary, theft and criminal damage in Limerick

Gardaí have arrested and charged a man in his 40s in relation to four burglaries, three thefts and three criminal damage incidents at businesses in the Limerick area that occurred from August to October 2019.

On the morning of the 17th October, 2019, Gardaí from the Crime Task Force in Limerick, assisted by Detective Gardaí from Henry Street, located and arrested a man in his 40s.

He was arrested in relation to following;

Burglaries at two pharmacies on Dooradoyle Road and Childers Road, a coffee shop in Castletroy and a college in Limerick. Theft from two shops on Dock Road and Thomas Street, and a pharmacy on Dooradoyle Road. Criminal damage at a pharmacy on Lower Gerald Griffin Street and two shops on Lower Gerald Griffin Street and William Street.

He was detained at Henry Street Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 and has since been charged to appear before Limerick City District Court at 10.30am.
