As part of an intelligence led operation targeting the supply of controlled drugs in the Dublin Metropolitan Region, Gardaí attached to the Special Crime Taskforce and the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau carried out a search of a residence in the Dublin 1 area today, Sunday October 6th 2019. Approximately €175,000 in cash, Cocaine and Cannabis (subject to analysis) with an estimated street value of €100,000 was seized during the search.
A 35 year old male has been arrested in connection with this investigation and is currently detained at Mountjoy Garda Station pursuant to Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
