As part of ongoing investigations by CAB (Criminal Assets Bureau) targeting the activities of a Cork based criminal group a number of searches were carried out in Co Cork on the 16th and 17th of October, 2019.
During the two day operation searches were conducted at five (5) premises by Bureau Officers. The locations searched included three motor dealerships, an Insurance brokers and a jewellery store, where documentation was seized.
All searches were conducted under the authority of CAB Warrants, Section 14 Criminal Assets Bureau Act, 1996.
Searches carried during this phase of the investigation are a follow up to a previous operation in April 2019 when a total of ten motor vehicles, four Rolex Watches and €31,500 in cash were seized from the group.
Investigations are ongoing.
