Gardaí carrying out an intelligence lead operation have arrested three men following a burglary incident at a house in Charleville, Co. Cork, that occurred today 19/10/2019.
At approximately 5:50pm two men forced entry into the house in the Freemount area of Charleville, while a third man remained in a nearby getaway car. Gardaí from the Mallow District assisted by members of the Armed Support Unit arrested the two men, aged in their 50s and 60s, at the house. The third man, aged in his 30s, was arrested shortly after having fled the scene in the car.
The men aged in their 50s and 60s are detained at the Bridewell Garda Station. The man aged in his 30s is detained at Mallow Garda Station. All are detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
No injuries were sustained in this incident. Investigations are ongoing.
