Witness Appeal: Fatal Shooting Bettystown, Co. Meath 04/11/2019

Gardaí in Ashbourne, Co. Meath are investigating all lines of enquiry following a fatal shooting incident which occurred at Castlemartin Drive, Bettystown, Co. Meath at approximately 11:40pm on Monday 4th November, 2019.

A 39-year-old male received a number of gunshot wounds and was removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, where he was pronounced dead shortly before 1am on Tuesday, 5th November, 2019.

A small white van with a logo was discovered on fire at Eastham Road, Bettystown, Co. Meath shortly after the shooting.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have information to contact the incident room at Ashbourne Garda Station on 018 010 600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station. They are particularly anxious to hear from road users with camera footage who were in the area at the time of the shooting.
