A previous press release in the case is listed below:

On Wednesday, 30th October 2019 at approximately 9.30pm, Gardaí from the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), assisted by Gardaí in Security & Intelligence, stopped a vehicle on Oscar Traynor Road, Dublin 5 during the course of operational activity. Following a search of the vehicle, a semi-automatic pistol and ammunition were seized.

Three male occupants of the vehicle, who are aged 53, 24 and 23, were arrested pursuant to the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939, as amended and are currently detained at Ballymun and Coolock Garda stations.

Assistant Commissioner John O’Driscoll, Special Crime Operations (SCO) said, "Recent arrest of suspects and the seizure of a firearm yesterday, by the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), following the seizure of a large quantity of drugs on Tuesday and a significant quantity of cash a number of days earlier, reflects the Garda Síochána’s unrelenting efforts to effectively tackle organised crime.”

Investigations are ongoing.
