Update - Patrick Heeran Murder Investigation

Gardaí in the Leitrim District have made two arrests as part of an ongoing investigation into the murder of Patrick Heeran, who was last seen in Mohill, Co Leitrim on the 3rd October 2011.

A man in his mid 20s and a woman also in her mid 20s were both arrested in the midlands and are currently detained at Tullamore Garda Station. The man is detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, while the woman is held under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939.

The investigation is ongoing.

Note:

Pat Heeran was last seen on 3rd October 2011 in Mohill Co Leitrim. He was 48 years-of-age at the time of his disappearance. A murder investigation based in Co. Leitrim has been ongoing since 2016.

Gardaí at Carrick on Shannon Garda Station are renewing their appeal to the public for information in relation to the murder of Pat Heeran who was last seen in Mohill, Co Leitrim at 4.20pm on the 3rd October, 2011.

He was reported missing to An Garda Síochána on the 14th October, 2011. Patrick Heeran is described as being five foot nine inches tall, of stocky build with fair hair, and when last seen he was wearing brown shoes, blue jeans and a brown jacket.
