Arrests - Shooting incident at Lucan, Dublin on the 4/9/19.

Gardaí investigating a shooting incident that occurred at Griffeen Glen Park, Lucan, on 4/9/19 at approximately 1:48pm have re-arrested three males (two aged 20s and one 30s).

They are currently detained at separate Dublin Garda Stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Investigations are ongoing.

In relation to the below shooting incident that occurred on Wednesday 4th September 2019 at Griffeen Glen Park, Lucan, Gardai can confirm that 4 persons have been detained.

Gardaí in Lucan are now appealing to anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious or any suspicious persons between 8pm and 9pm on Wednesday, 4th September 2019 on the Old Bog Road, Killeighter, Kilcock, County Kildare to come forward. Gardaí are also appealing to any motorists who travelled this route between 8pm and 9pm who may have Dashcam Footage.

Gardaí are also renewing their appeal to anyone who may have noticed two males running from vehicles at Griffeen Glen Park, Lucan, Elm Way, Lucan Liffey Road, Liffey Valley Park, Lucan and Blind Lane, Fassaroe, Bray on Wednesday 4th September 2019, or any unusual activity in this area over the last five days, or any motorists who may have Dashcam footage to contact Lucan Garda station on 01 666 7300,

NOTE: For operational reasons, no further information is available on the 4 persons detained.

Gardaí in Lucan are currently investigating a shooting that occurred at Griffeen Glen Park, Lucan Wednesday 4th September 2019, at 1:50pm.

A male in his early 40s was shot a number of times while in his car. He was removed to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where he is in a stable condition.

The suspects fled the scene in a White VW Caddy van which was found burnt out at Elm Way, Lucan. They are then believed to have transferred to an Opel Vectra which was located on Liffey Road, Liffey Valley Park, Lucan having being set alight. It is understood the suspects then fled the scene in a Toyota Avensis which was discovered on fire at Blind Lane, Fassaroe, Bray.

No arrests have been made and an incident room has been set up at Lucan Garda Station.

Gardaí in Lucan are currently at scene of a shooting incident that occurred at Griffeen Glen Park, Lucan this afternoon Wednesday 4th September 2019 at 1.50p.m.

A man (early 40s) was shot a number of times while in his car.  He has been removed to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown in a serious condition.

The road is currently closed and scene preserved.  Investigations ongoing.
