Firearm recovered in Blanchardstown, Dublin on the 28/5/19
On Tuesday evening 28/5/2019 as part of ongoing investigations targeting organised criminal activity in North West Dublin, Garda Units based in Blanchardstown and Finglas conducted a search of a wooded area off Waterville Road, Dublin 15.
During the course of the search a loaded firearm & silencer was recovered. The firearm, a Makarov handgun with a fitted silencer along with seven bullets have been sent for ballistic and forensic examination.
Searches in the area are continuing and enquiries are ongoing.
