Fatal road traffic collision in Fermoy, Cork on the 1/5/19
Gardaí in Fermoy are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Mill Road, Fermoy, Co. Cork at approximately 2.10pm, Wednesday 1st May 2019.
A man in his 70s (sole occupant of the car) was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided with a pole. He was pronounced dead at scene and his body has been taken to the mortuary at Cork University Hospital. The road was closed to facilitate a Garda forensic examination but has since reopened.
