Fatal road traffic collision at Balrath Cross, Kells, Co. Meath 25th May, 2019.

Gardaí in Kells are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision at Balrath Cross, Kells, Co. Meath.

At approximately 4.10pm on Saturday, 25th May, 2019 Gardaí were called to the scene of road traffic collision at Balrath Cross, Kells, Co. Meath. The collision involved a motorcycle and a tractor.  The driver of the motorcycle (man 26 years) was seriously injured and was removed to James Connolly Memorial Hospital.  He passed away in the early hours of this morning, Sunday 26th May, 2019.  The driver of the tractor, a man aged 19 years was uninjured.

Garda forensic collision investigators were at scene and carried out a forensic collision investigation of the scene. The road was closed but has since reopened.
