Arrest - Gorse Fire Investigation in Co. Donegal
A man was arrested earlier today (2/5/2019) by Gardaí investigating an outbreak of gorse fire in Co. Donegal on Good Friday (19/4/2019). He was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Milford Garda Station and has since been released without charge. A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The investigation commenced following an outbreak of gorse fire in west Donegal, on the 19th April 2019 between the hours of 1pm and 10.30pm. Considerable damage was caused to a house in the Drumnacart & Annagry area, damage was caused to a tractor and various other items on the properties. No injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
