Update Limerick Drugs Seizure - Saturday 2nd March 2019

Gardaí investigating a drugs seizure in the Limerick area yesterday, Friday 1st March 2019 have arrested a third person in relation to this investigation. The 30 year old man was arrested this morning (2/3/19) in the Limerick area. He is detained at Henry St Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2- (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

The two  other people arrested remain in Garda custody.

Gardaí from the Limerick Divisional Drug Unit, Mayorstone Crime Unit and the Garda Armed Support Unit have seized drugs with an estimated street value of €320,000

On Friday 1st March 2019, searches were carried out at locations in the Moyross, Coonagh Lower and Castletroy areas of Limerick. During the course of these searches Cannabis Herb and Cocaine (subject to analysis) was seized with an estimated street value of €320,000.

A male (18yrs) and a female (47yrs) were arrested in connection with this investigation are currently detained at Henry Street Garda Station, Limerick under the provisions of Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
