Drugs Seizure and Arrest Dublin 22. Cocaine €600,000

Gardaí have seized a large quantity of suspected cocaine and arrested a man in an operation in Dublin last evening 16th March 2019.

At 6.40pm Gardaí attached to the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau stopped a car near Newlands Road in Dublin 22. The car was searched and 9kg of cocaine (subject to analysis) with an estimated street value of in excess of €600,000, was discovered.

A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and he is detained at Lucan Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
