Second Male charged - Fatal shooting incident in Tallaght, Dublin on the 27/5/15

Gardaí at Tallaght investigating the fatal shooting of 35 year old Alan O'Neill at Kiltalown Road, Tallaght, Dublin 24 on the 27th May 2015 have this morning, Wednesday 31st July 2019, arrested and charged a male in his early 20s. 

He is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice, court number 3 at 10.30am this morning. This is the second person to be charged in relation to this incident.

Gardai in Tallaght are investigating a fatal shooting incident which occurred at Kiltalown Road,in Tallaght on the 27th May 2015.

At approximately 10.35pm Gardai in Tallaght received a call that a male(35 years) had been seriously injured in a shooting incident at Kiltalown Road,Tallaght when Gardai arrived at the scene the observed a male seriously injured. He was treated at scene by Dublin Fire Brigade and was transferred to Tallaght Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

A number of Gardai responded to the initial incident and arrested two males (28 and 18 years) close by. They are being detained at Tallaght Garda station under the provisions of section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1039 as amended. The scenes of the shooting and a car found burning close to the scene are being preserved for a Technical examination.
