A Post Mortem examination was carried out at Cork University Hospital today, Tuesday 22nd January 2019 by Dr. Bolster, Assistant State Pathologist.
This death is not being treated as a suspicious death. A full report will now be submitted for the information of the Coroner’s office,

Gardaí are investigating the death of a man in his 40s at the 'River Lee Walkway' in Cork City. The body was discovered on the 22nd January 2019 at approximately 11.45am.
A post mortem will be carried out at Cork University Hospital by Dr Margaret Bolster. The result of the post mortem will dictate the direction of the investigation.
