Fatal road traffic collision at Mullingar, Westmeath on the 28/2/19

Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision on the N4 close to Mullingar, Co. Westmeath at about 12.30am on 28th February 2019.

A pedestrian, a man believed to be in his 30s, was fatally injured when he was involved in a collision with a car. His body has been remove to the Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar where a post mortem examination will be carried out. The driver of the car received minor injuries and was also treated in hospital.

The road at the scene is closed and diversions are in place.
