A male in his 40s who was detained in relation to the above seizure is scheduled to appear before a Special Sitting of Mallow District Court today at 1.30pm charged in connection with the seizure.

As part of ongoing operations by the Cork Regional Drugs Unit targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Cork Division three locations on the north side of Cork and in North County Cork were searched today, Saturday February 23rd 2019.
As a result of these searches Cocaine, Cannabis Herb and Cannabis Resin was seized with an estimated street value of over €716,000. One man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with this investigation and is currently detained at Mallow Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2- Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
