Robbery at a premises Saint Andrew St, Dublin 2 December 8, 2019

A man in his 30s has appeared before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning Monday December 9, 2019 charged in connection to a robbery at a premises on Saint Andrew St, Dublin 2 yesterday December 8, 2019.

Gardaí investigating a robbery at a premises on Saint Andrew St, Dublin 2 carried out searches of the area and arrested a man in his 30s.

A male armed with a broken glass bottle entered a shop, threatened a staff member and demanded cash from the tills. The suspect fled on foot with a sum of cash in the direction of Dame St.

Gardaí carried out searches of the area and arrested a male in his mid 30s. He was detained at Pearse St Garda station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.The weapon believed to have been used in the robbery, a broken glass bottle, was also seized.
 
No injuries were reported during the incident and investigations are ongoing.
