Drugs Seizure in Coolock, Dublin - Joint Revenue Custom Service/ Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau on the 20/8/19.

Yesterday 20th August 2019, as part of intelligence led Operation targeting Organised Crime Groups operating in the North Dublin area, a joint Operation was conducted by the Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Gardaí from the Drugs Unit in Ballymun. 

During the course of this operation, a package containing approximately 1.2 Kg of Herbal Cannabis, with an estimated value of €24,000 (twenty -four thousand) euro (subject to analysis), together with other drugs related paraphernalia, was seized by Customs Officers at an apartment in the Coolock area of North Dublin. 

Gardaí arrested a 21 year old man in connection with this investigation. He is currently detained under Section 2 of The Criminal Justice  (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Ballymun Garda Station. 

Investigations are continuing. No further details will issue.
